About Us

134 years and counting

Established in 1891, Ravensthorpe CC is now generally based in nearby Mirfield. Carrying on a simple promise: good, honest miles with camaraderie to the end. Group riding is special. The shared effort lets you cruise at speeds you can’t always manage alone; and with optionally competitive flashes of climbing or town-sign sprints, it’s great for training too. Our roll of honour includes Brian Robinson (first Briton to finish and to win a stage at the Tour de France; and 1961 Dauphiné victor) and Lisa Brambani (1988 GB Olympian, 1990 Commonwealth silver, four-time national road champion). Racing is resurging with a modernised committee and values aligned to today’s tech, data and safety. With a well attended open 10 mile TT in summer, and a fresh kit design, we are hoping to grow active membership and expand the event calendar and engagement.
