Ravensthorpe CC has a long tradition of pinning on numbers, either at our own club time trials and hill climbs, through to open events such as the YCF TT series. We’re currently building this section to do that history justice: gathering old result sheets, trophies, photos and stories into one place so the club’s racing past is properly recorded.
While that work is in progress, this page is your hub for what’s happening now. Below you’ll find 2025’s; – Club 10 and Hill Climb report, – Members racing report, covering our members results at time trials and hill climbs – key dates for the 2026 Club 10 Time Trial and Hill Climb so you can plan ahead, have a go at racing against the clock, and help keep the club’s racing spirit alive for the next generation.
Ravensthorpe CC Racing Highlights 2025
Joseph Healy: “The British National Hill Climb Championships on Bank Road in Matlock was 100% the highlight of my year, I’ve thought about entering for a couple of years now and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The crowds and support were incredible, unlike anything I’ve experienced and I’m really proud of my performance. My TT season exceeded all of my expectations. My last one of the year, Harrogate Nova CC’s 10 mile TT on the V212 being the highlight, getting the CTT road bike course record despite my legs not feeling at their best that day.”

Kathryn Argyle: “I thought the camaraderie, support and encouragement on both hill climbs I took part in (HSW women and RCC club HCs) were fab. It was fantastic to ride with Alison Lyons on the HSW Women’s hill climb.!
James Asquith: “The highlight of this year for me would be riding the Jackson Bridge Hill climb 31 years after saying I’d never do it again! Firstly, as part of the HSW evening series, (which was a great little series of events, with the added bonus of getting the prize for coming 3rd overall on points with no specific training and only entered to show support), then riding it as the open event on a super day weather wise, with great support from the crowds , improving from 3 weeks earlier and doing a decent time (for my age). Still don’t like the climb though!!”
Stephen Brown: “The most significant event I had this year was the 58:16 I did at Topcliffe at the end of September. It was my fastest 25 since 2007. This year I rode 10 events, the most I done for a long time. I managed a 23:36 10 on a bike, a 25:11 on three wheels & a 25 also on the trike of 1:07:09, fastest for a while. I was determined to do some decent rides this year, I did do some hard training on my commute.”
David Lane: “The one track evening I rode this year where I got a win. Probably more racing next year.”
Marjorie Davison: “My highlight of the 2025 season was the Yorkshire 12h TT. My first attempt at such an event (definitely not the last) when, despite unfavourable weather amongst other challenges, I managed to achieve my higher target of 175miles with a recorded distance of 175.91miles! Absolutely made my year! I was also the only woman racing affiliated to the Yorkshire Cycling Federation on that day, which makes me the YCF 12h ladies champion for 2025, considering how meaningful this day was to me as a cyclist, I will take that as another way to celebrate.”
